Invitation to our AGM - 6th October 1 pm.

We are delighted to invite you to our AGM which will be held at 1pm on Sunday 6th October - either on the lawn or inside the clubhouse depending on the weather. It would be great to get as many people as possible attending & since it is after social tennis why not come along, play some tennis, enjoy a drink (the bar will be open) and stay for the meeting? Its a great opportunity to learn more about the club and have your say!.

Below is a list of current committee members & their roles. Matt has taken over as webmaster from Laura and I will be stepping down as Welfare Officer. All other incumbents will continue with their respective roles.

If interested please let me know before the deadline of Sunday, 22nd September. You may still put yourself forward for the role even if you can't attend the AGM.

I will be pinning a hard copy of this email with attachments onto a noticeboard in the club house. To save paper I will not be printing off any of the documents for the meeting, please do so as you wish or preferably view via your electronic devices.

Brief description of the Welfare Officer role.

The Welfare Officer is responsible for promoting safeguarding within NDLTC and works with others to ensure a safe, diverse and inclusive environment. They liaise with the LTA Safeguarding Team to facilitate ongoing club registration by achieving the minimum standards required. Acts as the first point of contact for all children and adults where Welfare and Safeguarding concerns are identified.

  • Attends compulsory Safeguarding training as required by the LTA.
  • Must have a current DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service), can be applied for once in role.
  • Maintains the safeguarding website with the help of the webmaster & updates the safeguarding noticeboard as required.
  • Interacts with Welfare Officers from different clubs via LTA led social media forums & community groups.
