To keep our courts in great shape we undergo a yearly cleaning and maintenance schedule. This will mean some court closures over the next couple of months:-
The Upper Courts (1&2) will be CLOSED on Tuesday 19th May
to undergo moss treatment. The treatment needs to sit in the surface for 24 hours to ensure that the treatment works well.
The Lower Courts (3&4) will be CLOSED on Wednesday 27th May
to undergo the same treatment. This will mean that for social tennis on that night only the upper courts will be open. Thank you for your understanding.
The Upper Courts will be CLOSED on Wednesday 3rd June
to undergo sanding and brushing. This ensures that the sand is evenly spread under the surface of the court to achieve a consistent bounce. They will be open as soon as this is completed which I expect to be from 4.30pm at the latest. So all four courts will be in use for social evening tennis that day.
The Lower Courts will be CLOSED on Tuesday 9th June
to also undergo the sanding and brushing.
All of the above is weather dependent as it requires dry weather so will be subject to late change. The booking sheets will always be updated so please always check them before playing.
