Grounds and Facilities Update

Dear [[firstname]]

It’s been a lovely spring week, I hope you have been enjoying the sun and your tennis! We will be doing a few jobs over the coming months to make your experience at the club even better.

Court Resurfacing
The work to resurface courts 3 and 4 with the all weather Tiger Turf Advantage Pro artificial grass should commence on Thursday 20 March. 1st Surface hope to complete the work in under two weeks but it is weather dependent, they require dry conditions to apply the sand and glue the surface to the concrete beneath. The courts will be completely closed for the duration and as soon as they are available for play we will release the courts for booking.

The wall between upper and lower courts
We will also repair and plaster the wall between the upper and lower courts. Again the lower courts will need to be closed for the work and this will take no more than two days.

Paths
The paths around the club have suffered water damage over the last two wet winters and we will be returning them to great condition over the summer.

Veranda
Over the summer months we are also going to smarten up the veranda and will repair the wooden fencing. If you do have any old (or new!) plant pots that you would like to donate to the club please do contact me directly. Thank you!

JAGS Development
JAGS have now received planning permission to demolish the two houses and build new school buildings. As and when the final plans are released we will share with members but we do not anticipate any impact on your tennis whilst this work is done.

Reminders

Security
PLEASE ALWAYS check the clubhouse is secure and locked, the middle gate is closed and locked and the entrance door closed and locked when you are last to leave the club at any time, day or night.
Cleaning
Please always leave the kitchen as you found it, wash up anything you have used and return items to the cupboards.
Rubbish
Please make sure you do not leave any rubbish anywhere on the grounds. Use the courtside bins or the bins in the clubhouse to keep our club looking beautiful. If you do see any rubbish please do pick it up even if it is not yours! Thank you.

As ever if you have any questions or queries about the above or anything else please do not hesitate to contact me.

Kind regards,
Mike Almond (Grounds and Facilities)
