Box League Updates - Please Read!

I've had a few questions about both the Singles and Doubles box leagues, so this a quick update and a jog if you still have games to play!

Deadlines: I absolutely realise it gets a bit frustrating if you take the time to get your games organised by the deadline, only to find that the deadline gets moved to accomodate people who haven't played their games. So our aim going forward is to get an agreed cadence for both leagues that takes into account the likely weather, the club tournament and the fact that doubles matches are very tricky to organise. Our plan going forward is as follows:

Singles League: Feb- March (2 months) , April-May (2 months) Mid August - October (2.5 months) November-January (3 months)

Doubles League: February - May (4 months) and then September - January (5 months)

The immediate implication of this is I have amended the current Doubles League to finish at the end of January . We will monitor this during 2026 and value any feedback from you!

Promotions / Relegations: This is based solely on points you gain (3 points for a win etc) and other factors (matches won, head-to-head etc) only comes into play when points are tied - so basically you probably need to play all your games if you want to get promoted! The full rules are attached for those of you with the time to read therm!

Actions please...

Both leagues will now finish on February 1st, so no excuse not to play all your games - why not use the Xmas holiday to get some matches organised?

If you are injured and unable to play, then please let me know now rather than later so we can remove you from league and stop people chasing you.

As always my final plea is to be proactive and also respond immediately if people suggest playing - even if the dates they suggest don't work for you (just suggest some new ones) - its very frustrating to be ghosted...

Not receiving Email Newsletters?

  • Login and check you email address is correct.
  • Contact Us if you changed your email address.
  • Check you spam/junk folders (and mark the message as "not spam/junk" if you find it there).
  • Add "northdulwichtennis@no-reply.mycourts.co.uk" to your Contacts list or email address book.
  • Contact your email service provider and ask them why you're not receiving messages sent from northdulwichtennis@no-reply.mycourts.co.uk.

Hotmail/Outlook Users

  • Login to your Hotmail/Outlook account.
  • Click Settings > View all Outlook settings > Junk Email
  • Add "mycourts.co.uk" and "no-reply.mycourts.co.uk" to your Safe Senders and domains.

GMail Users

  • Go to Gmail Settings > Filters and Blocked Addresses. If "North Dulwich Tennis Club <northdulwichtennis@no-reply.mycourts.co.uk>" appears in the list of blocked addresses, select "North Dulwich Tennis Club <northdulwichtennis@no-reply.mycourts.co.uk>" and click "unblock selected addresses".

Other email service providers may have similar settings -- please follow their instructions. If not, contact their support desk and request delivery of messages from northdulwichtennis@no-reply.mycourts.co.uk.
