We are trialling a new approach to tennis balls for social tennis. Details as follows…
Social balls
We are buying Wilson Trinity balls in bulk for use in all social tennis sessions on Sunday, Wednesday and Friday and they will be stored in a special wall-mounted basket just inside the clubhouse. The Trinity balls are long-lasting, so should be usable for several sessions.
There are several benefits of this approach:
However, the system relies on the balls being put back in the basket after social sessions – so if you are the last players on a court, please gather the balls up and return them to the social basket! We will monitor the number and quality of the balls on a regular basis and top them up where needed.
If you want to buy balls from the club
Tubes of Slazenger balls will continue to be available for purchase in the metal box on the veranda. Code is 1981. Please either leave £6 cash per tube or transfer £6 to Keith Balls’ account on MyCourts
Inter-club Matches
We will continue to use the Slazenger balls for matches and the team captains have been informed that these will now be stored in the coaches room
