The Committee would like to advertise three positions which will shortly become vacant and invite members of the club to apply. The positions will be filled at the AGM, which will be on Sunday, October 4th at 1pm. The positions are Tennis Manager, Development Officer and Secretary. More information on the roles can be found below.
1. Tennis Manager.
Ben is currently the interim tennis manager since taking over from Jo earlier this year. He has done stirling work in his short tenure and is keen to continue in the role but if anyone would like to apply please see a brief description of the position.
The role is to work closely with the coaches to ensure members court usage is fairly allocated across all members of the club. It involves monitoring social play, organising the summer club tournament, the all year round box leagues, team practice and ad hoc events. They also enter and coordinate the teams in the Surrey league and are an active member of the committee.
2. Development Officer.
Sean currently holds this position but is stepping down so if anyone is interested please apply.
The development officer will oversee and develop fundraising strategies and grant applications where relevant. Will help with sourcing funding for capitally intensive projects such as the clubhouse refurbishment.
3. Committee Secretary.
Linda is stepping down as the club secretary so if you are interested in this role please apply.
The secretarial role involves handling committee administration, organising committee meetings, writing and sending out minutes of all the meetings and creating meeting agendas. Also arranging the AGM and sending out relevant documentation prior to that.
