Coronavirus

Dear Member,

We ask all members to follow the official guidance from Public Health England on managing the risk of infection and transmission. This includes whether and when to self-isolate if returning from affected regions. The list of countries affected is changing daily but can be found at this link https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-information-for-the-public#returning-travellers . In addition we suggest that the traditional handshake on the conclusion of play is suspended until conditions return to normal.

Schools and workplaces are imposing their own conditions and asking for self-isolation in the case of suspected and confirmed cases of coronavirus, in which case you will not be attending the club for a minimum of 14 days. If your school or workplaces closes, but there is no instruction to self-isolate, you may attend the club as normal, as long as this is in accordance with PHE guidelines.

We are attempting to source supplies of hand sanitisers for the clubhouse and toilets along with paper hand towels, In the meantime please follow the rules of good hygiene posted in the toilets and encourage your children to do this as well. Frequent, effective, handwashing is the best action to reduce the transmission of this virus.

As a precaution we we are terminating clubhouse based activities so, until further notice, there will be no Saturday breakfast club, no Teddy Tennis, no Yoga for Tennis, no clubhouse based wet weather tennis for younger players and no Table Tennis. Sadly the COMEDY NIGHT scheduled for Saturday is also postponed.
