A quick update on both the singles and doubles box leagues.
Firstly, well done for those of you who have been tenacious and organised and got the majority of your matches played – I know that one or two of you have even played games the morning before flying off on holiday!
However, some of you have found it tough to play the matches and Jo and I have also discussed how we best fit the box leagues in with the upcoming club tournament, avoid too much pressure on court bookings and give you a life outside of tennis too!.
As a result we have decided to slightly extend the current leagues until the 26th May and then pause both the singles and doubles box leagues until after the bulk of the tournament matches have been played (probably sometime in August). All placings as at the 26th May will be used to calculate the new leagues.
So – a great chance to get all your matches played, especially as we have 4 all-weather courts now and the sun is mostly shining! Please let me know if you are still unable to play your games for whatever reason and we can take you out of the box to stop you getting messages…
